- 1,224 tonnes of CO2e sequestered over 35 years
- A productive farm where the farming family has already planted some successful woodland to help encourage habitat diversity.
An attractive rural setting for a 13 hectare mixed broadleaved and conifer woodland creation scheme, lying in NE Scotland on the edge of a well frequented tourist area. The new woodland will be set in the heart of a productive farm where the farming family has already planted some successful woodland to help encourage habitat diversity. They are very keen to expand on that.
The woodland will be easily accessed being 3 miles off main trunk roads and having good tarred road to within a couple of hundred yards. The setting provides great opportunities to promote engagement with local schools to encourage outdoor education covering food production, woodland management and, of course, the natural environment.
